Camel (1973)

Camel's debut album and still one of my personal favorites. The emphasis is more on the instruments than the vocals. Two of the seven songs are purely instrumental, the others have wonderfully long breaks, and everywhere there is a rich variety of sounds from fuzzy synths to straight-ahead rock and roll guitar. The songs are longer than the typical three or four minutes which, for me at least, gives a much more satisfying feeling at song's end.
