One Eighty (1980)

This is a great album, pure and simple. The opening song is jazzy and upbeat; the couple of love songs are sweet without being maudlin; and it has two of my all-time favorite Ambrosia songs, Rock N' A Hard Place, a forceful, driving piece of great rock and roll (am I the only who hears the violins in that song and is reminded of Kansas?), and No Big Deal, a just plain fun song. For me, this album is Ambrosia at it's peak.

Their biggest hits are found here, Biggest Part of Me (which reached number 3 on the charts, although personally I think it's the weakest track on the album) and You're the Only Woman (which reached number 13).
